The individual performs basic deck and engine operations in the vessel like watch out duties, cleaning, basic rope work, painting, greasing and basic fitting activities etc.
The individual navigates the vessel, supervises of loading and unloading of cargo, performs advanced preventive and corrective maintenance, reports potential waterway hazards and manages the vessel crew.
The individual is responsible for overall boat operations and ensures safety, security and facilities on the vessel. S/He plans and leads the specialised operations like passenger vessel, tug vessel and NCV operations.
