The Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) is a not-for-profit organization in India that works to develop and implement skill development programs for the logistics and supply chain management industry. The LSC was set up in 2014 by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).GST(GST( The LSC aims to create a skilled workforce in the logistics sector by identifying the skills required for various job roles and developing training programs that meet industry standards. It also works with industry partners to promote the adoption of best practices and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.

The LSC offers a range of skill development programs, including apprenticeships, certification programs, and short- term training courses. These programs are designed to improve the employability of individuals and meet the talent requirements of the logistics industry. Logistics is the process of effective management of warehouse operations, Transportation of goods, and utilization of human resources to reach customers at the right time at the right place.

The Education Initiatives department focuses on developing and implementing educational programs, fostering partnerships with educational institutions, enhancing learning resources, and promoting continuous professional development for staff and stakeholders.

Education Initiative Division – is responsible for collaborating with educational institutions and providing apprenticeship embedded programmes for college/university students.

Training and Assessments
Training and Assessments – are responsible for Training the Trainers, Assessments and placements of trained students. They are also responsible for approving Training Partners & training centers where the training of candidates happen.

Human Resources
The Human Resources department is responsible for recruiting, training, developing employees, managing compliance with labour laws, fostering workplace culture, and addressing employee relations.

Information Technology
The IT department is responsible for creating eCourses for Logistics Domain, maintaining LSC’s Learning platform, managing the digital presence of LSC, automation of organisation’s processes by building and implementing software systems, supporting the organization's technology infrastructure, protecting the digital assets , ensuring data security, providing specialised software solutions to Logistics and Education partners and facilitating effective communication systems.

Accounts Finance and Compliance
The Accounts, Finance, and Compliance department oversees financial planning and reporting, manages budgets and cash flow, ensures accurate accounting practices, and maintains adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Apprenticeship
The Apprenticeship department coordinates and oversees training programs that combine classroom instruction with hands-on work experience, fostering skill development and career readiness for apprentices while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The Industry Partnership (Paid Programs) department establishes and manages collaborations with businesses to create and promote paid internship and training and learning opportunities, ensuring alignment with industry needs and providing valuable work experience for participants.

Standards and Quality Assurance

Standards and Quality Assurance department is responsible for the Qualification Packs, NOS, Participant Handbook, Facilitator Guides. They coordinate with the NSDC and NCVET to get the documents approved.

Instructor led training, blended learning, eLearning courses.

Some of the eLearning courses are self-paced. Courses hosted in https://ocp.lsc-india.org comes with a time duration.

This is completely dependent on the courses selected.

The courses are priced competitively and carry content created by Industry experts.

Yes LSC provides online certification courses. On completion of the eLearning courses, the student can generate an eCertificate.

By following the approval processes as stipulated by NSDC/NCVET and LSC.

TOT is training of the Trainer. This training is imparted to the trainer of the Training Partner who will in turn train the candidates who are enrolled in the training programmes under PMKVY / NON PMKVY
